Dramatic maritime scene painted in oil on canvas, signed lower right H. Holk and dated 1933. The work depicts two shipwrecked people drifting on a makeshift raft in a raging sea. One of them, standing, desperately tries to attract the attention of a possible rescuer, while the other lies exhausted on the driftwood.
