Beautiful French bottle from Jura, 17th century, "English" shape, bearing the seal of Master glassmaker Duraquet, circa1630.
I took this information from the excellent article,
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verrerie_de_La_Vieille-Loye, which I thank for its seriousness.
You will see the certified seal, as well as entire life of this glassworks since 13th century…., and why this English shape.
("In 17th century, following the invention and industrialization of wine bottle in England by Kenelm Digby in 1632, the glassworks specialized its production in manufacture of so-called "English" wine bottles. Quality of glass heated in the wood-fired oven of this glassworks is of superior quality.")
Rare bottle, Museum quality, no flaws. Dimensions = 30 cm x 7 cm, weight: 750 gr. Take a good look at our photos.....
