Steel, marine ivory and gold damascene
Total length: 35 cm – Blade length: 24 cm – Blade back width: 1 cm
Strong single-edged blade in Damascus ‘wootz’ steel, decorated with damascene flowers, birds and felines; it ends in a ferrule set into the blade and forged into a baluster shape, decorated with damascene flowers; the back has two registers with a central ridge and is also decorated with gold damascene.
The tang is engraved with flowers and foliage, onto which two marine ivory plates are riveted.
A forged steel ring is attached to the rivet button.
Very good condition.
