"Volkstedt - Porcelain Figure Eros On A Dolphin I"
Volkstedt porcelain figurine depicting Eros on a dolphin. This model was created by Emil Paul Börner, one of the most versatile and productive artists at the Meissen porcelain manufactory in the 1920s, who later headed its art departments at Meissen. In the late 1960s, the oldest Volkstedt porcelain manufactory acquired several of the artist's figurine designs to enrich its collection. He was convinced that his figurines were in good hands, among the best in the country. These figurines were very elaborate, both in production and painting. Produced in small quantities, they were considered collector's items. Blue Volkstedt manufactory mark and intaglio mark EB 127 for Emil Borner, as well as the model number. Measurements: 17x17cm
