André Trassard Pastel Concarneau, Brittany, Sailors Returning From Fishing In Front Of The Ville Close
Artist: André Trassard
A typical subject for this artist, mainly known for his work as a pastellist, and very well treated: the return from fishing in the evening at dusk in front of the Ville Close of Concarneau. Done in pastels, signed lower left. It is highlighted by its period carved giltwood frame with some scattered losses. You will admire the very beautiful colors and the last rays of the sun on the belfry, so well rendered. Signed lower left and titled on the back by the artist's hand. Dimensions: Work: 38 cm x 46 cm With its frame: 48 cm x 56 cm Good condition. In its original condition, never dismantled. Placed under glass in the rules of the art: isolated from the glass by cleats to avoid friction of the pastel against the glass. Some scattered losses of gilding on the frame.
