Hourglass from the end of the 17th beginning of the 18th century in iron sheet An opening in the frame reveals the vial made up of two clear "bubbled" glass bulbs connected together by a wax seal covered with beige fabric tightened with a bluish cord. Orange silica sand flows inside. A rotating cover protects the hourglass during transport, hence the name travel hourglass for this type of hourglass.
