"Antique Table Lamp With Embroidered Fan Lampshade"
Antique Table Lamp With Embroidered Fan Lampshade made using a palm holder with turned, carved and silver-leafed wooden handles on a red bole preparation as a base. The palm holder is decorated only on one side as was frequently the case in altar decorations where the finishing affected only what was seen by the worshippers. The lampshade is a shaped oval fan with ivory textured cotton shantung fabric with a lovely central lamé embroidery made from disused sacred vestments.
The lamp has a large E27 socket and is wired for a maximum power of 150 watts and is fully functional.
