Its flap is upholstered in fawn-colored leather decorated with ''small irons'' and its counterweights allow it to be used without any problem on a daily basis. Note the old cracks restored on the sides, a common restoration for a piece of furniture from this period. (see photo). In the Louis XV-Louis XVI transition style, it dates from the second half of the 19th century, around 1880-1900.
