Beautiful collector's plate presenting a handful of natural medlars, some open on a white background, the plate encircled by a wide burnished gold rim with agate. It bears below the signature of the Manufacture Darte Palais Royal N°21, in iron red. Empire Restoration period. The Darte factory was created in 1795, with an oven on rue de Charonne and a shop at the Palais Royal. In 1804, the factory became Darte Frères. In 1809, under the Empire, it was under the protection of H.I.H. Madame Mère of HM the Emperor and King. Under the Restoration, it continued its activity until 1828.
