"Maternity Pastel Signed Marcel Poggioli"
A lot of sensitivity and love in this touching portrait of a woman and her child. Very pretty pastel signed by the Marseille artist of Corsican origin, Marcel Dominique Poggioli (1882-1969). In its original frame, slightly damaged in the upper part. Although mainly known for his work in oils, Poggioli was also recognized as a pastellist, a technique he mainly used for tender and poetic portraits and landscapes. He could thus play with soft finishes, a delicate palette and a luminous rendering. Dimensions without frame 24 x 18 cm.
