Martini, Mozart's Music Teacher

Engraved portrait of the famous Giovanni Battista Martini or Padre Martini (1706-1784), musician, composer and theoretician. Mozart, during his adolescent trip to Italy, met him several times and benefited from his teaching, particularly in counterpoint.
