"Martini, Mozart's Music Teacher "
Engraved portrait of the famous Giovanni Battista Martini or Padre Martini (1706-1784), musician, composer and theoretician. Mozart, during his adolescent trip to Italy, met him several times and benefited from his teaching, particularly in counterpoint. He is one of the few composers he speaks well of in his correspondence. Our engraving is an 18th century print framed in a molded natural wood frame with embossed metal motifs in the corners
