Comprising four cabriolet armchairs and a matching sofa.
The set is made of carved and gilded wood, with refined ornamentation typical of the Louis XVI style:
Stripe of piastres in the belt, Acanthus leaf friezes on the armrests and the scrolls of the cuffs, Armrests with cuffs, Backrest uprights decorated with triglyphs, Connecting dice decorated with flowers, Tapered and rudenté legs.
The backs are upholstered with antique petit point tapestries, circa 1780, depicting delightful genre scenes: young figures in bucolic landscapes, all framed by draperies, floral crowns and interlacing laurel leaves.
These tapestries are of the most beautiful decorative effect and similar to those visible at the Petit Palais (Museum of Fine Arts of the City of Paris).
The seats and armrests are covered in a more recent beige velvet.
