Auguste Vaudet - Brooch in 18k (750°/°°) yellow gold depicting a stylized pansy. The floral motif features a finely chiseled feminine profile in the center and enhanced with rose-cut diamonds depicting a necklace. This is surrounded by petals with wavy contours representing a pansy. French Art Nouveau work circa 1900. Signed A. VAUDET. Presence of the eagle's head hallmark for 18-carat gold and the maker's mark H C. Auguste Vaudet (1838-1914) was a sculptor and exhibited at the 1900 Universal Exhibition. His works are in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay.
