"Relic Of Saint Eligius"
A rare relic of Saint Eligius of Noyon, a goldsmith and later a high-ranking official at the court of the Merovingian kings; he is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church. From the contraction of the French name Éloi, in the Middle Ages in many Italian cities he was simply called Saint Alo, Saint Alò, or even just Saint Lo.
