"Petit Bronze Doré Budai, China 19th Century"
Budai is a recurring figure in Chinese Buddhist iconography. This gilded bronze Buddha is depicted in a classical seated and smiling posture, carrying a tacky writer's bag and another bag in his left hand. His robe falls from his shoulders to his bra. Gilded bronze, 19th century.
