Rare and Important Regency period mirror circa 1720; this beautiful piece of perfect period gilding with gold leaf is richly carved in a so-called Bérain frame with ears surmounted by a marvelous ornate pediment, carved with a beautiful horn of plenty in the center. The magnificent original pediment has the sculpture of the leaves identical to the frame with a slight asymmetry at the base announcing the French Baroque style of Louis XV; We have here a beautiful large exceptional piece in perfect condition, with a regular tint and without defects... A piece that has passed through time without any damage, healthy and free of parasites and with a lively and very well applied gilding, the rich sculpture is not left out and the slender pediment with protruding and generous palmettes on a pediment in an animated arch decorated with flutters, scrolls and acanthus leaves on a cross-shaped background in regular diamonds, the horn of plenty offering a bouquet of blooming and generous flowers held upright.
