The story:
In the Acts of the Apostles, Paul's conversion is discussed in three different places, and this experience is much more detailed than in the Epistles. Acts describes the conversion as an event that took place while Paul was on his way to Damascus. Jesus appeared to him in the form of a light, and he fell as a result of this vision and became blind. Paul was then taken to Damascus, where he was baptized three days later by Ananias, who at the same time restored his sight, Ananias having received the command from God to welcome him among the saints. The three accounts of this conversion are found in Acts 9:3-9, 22:5-11, and 26:13-19. The first is told by the author of Acts, while the other two are told by Paul, while he was imprisoned in Jerusalem and then in Caesarea. Some people thought they could detect irreconcilable differences, but the use of Greek grammar puts an end to these disputes.
