The finely carved and gilded wooden case features an exceptional decoration: two winged griffins surrounding an enameled caran, stylized palmette at the top, columns, floral garlands and rocaille shell in the lower part.
The whole evokes the neoclassical aesthetic.
Mechanical movement with functional pendulum, signed Lenzkirch AG (Germany) numbered 92833.
Wall suspension signed AUG Stenman - Eskilstuna (Sweden), renowned ironworks of the late 19th century.
