Pair Of Sèvres Porcelain Vases, 19th Century
A pair of 19th-century Sèvres porcelain vases in the Louis XVI style. Made of cobalt blue porcelain richly decorated with fine gold, each vase features a hand-painted gallant scene framed by gilded rocaille motifs. The lids are topped with a stylized flame-shaped knob, and the side handles are adorned with gilded draperies. Mounted on square chased and gilded bronze bases, these vases illustrate the refinement of the Sèvres tradition during the Second Empire. Height 65 cm. Diameter 22 cm
