" Antique Louis XVI Chest With Two Drawers"
A beautiful commode in its first patina, dating back to the second half of the 18th century. The piece is entirely veneered in blond and dark walnut burl with maple fillets that act as frames for darker burl panels, creating the characteristic two-tone effect of 18th-century furniture. The drawers are veneered along the edges using end-grain wood. The inverted pyramid legs are all original. The piece has recently been restored and polished by our trusted collaborator. Length: 143cm x 54cm x 96cm.
