"Rosewood Ebony Burl Inlaid Jewelry Box Marquetry Box"
Lovely rectangular box with rounded corners in amboyna burl. Numerous threads adorn the box: brass, ebony, rosewood. Its slightly domed lid is decorated in the center with a small chiseled brass plate and all around with a wide ebony band and a brass rod in finishing. It opens onto a beautiful interior covered with a fine pink moiré silk. It opens and closes with a push button that works perfectly. It has a hinge across its entire width in very good condition, thus allowing the lid to be perfectly held vertically open. Remains of an old store label on the bottom. This is a refined production of the Second Empire. Overall dimensions: Length: 8.7 cm Width: 7 cm Height: 4.5 cm Good condition. Beautiful old patina. Interior silk in very good condition.
