"Directory Clock Circa 1795"
Lovely gilt bronze clock, chiseled and patinated with an allegory of Love in the natural state.

White enamelled dial with Roman numerals for the hours, signed in Paris; set in a patinated bronze terminal decorated with stylized butterflies, surrounded by Cupid and a young girl on a portor marble entablature, with decorative elements linked to Love.
A flowered basin at the top of the clock.
Four webbed claw feet in gilt bronze.

Very good condition.
This clock is in working order.
