"Red Velvet Mantelpiece. Pure Napoleon III. Console Table, 19th Century."
Formerly a mantelpiece (ceremonial) in the pure Napoleon III style, in red velvet, accessorized with cockades, pompoms and pleats. The fabric is fixed on a board which serves as a support, and to give it hold and a perfect fall. The velvet is frayed in various places, which gives it a patina, authenticity and is part of its natural wear. Note: missing pompoms (although a few more) and frayed on the fabric of the background (on the front) see photos. Length 125 cm Width 40 cm
