"Holy Virgin Italian School 17th Century"
Oil on canvas mounted on wood representing the Virgin Mary, we can see on the right the top of the head of the baby Jesus with blond curls which could make us think that this painting is perhaps a fragment of a larger painting, still this does not prevent us from appreciating the finesse, the grace of the face of the Virgin, face with colors and tone of great freshness. The headdress with rigid folds could recall the Flemish or Italian models of the 17th century.
This small painting would deserve a beautiful old frame.
