Mahogany and mahogany veneer display cabinet opening with a dark door two-thirds of the way through a glass pane highlighted by an ornate baguette. This door is fitted with a working original lock with its key. The lower part of the door is a Martin varnish panel depicting a gallant scene with lovers watching a bird flying from its cage. This decoration is also surrounded by brass rods forming a frame. The uprights of this display case are decorated at the top and bottom with bronze falls, sculpted with flowers, leaves and arabesques. The slightly curved feet end with openwork sabots decorated with acanthus leaves. The lower crosspiece is decorated with a bronze trim. The sides, made in the same spirit as the facade, have the particularity of being concave and painted with animal scenes depicting birds. The top is topped with a pink marble from the Pyrenees following the shapes of the piece of furniture and surrounded by an openwork gallery with balusters, supported by a scalloped and beaded drapery.
