"Relic Of Saint Theodore Martyr - Late 18th Century "
A phylactery on which is noted Sancti Theodori M, offers us for devotion a large ex-ossibus relic bagged and presented in a rare glass vial in the shape of an ampulla. The vial is carefully decorated with fabrics, gold threads, pearls and a green cabochon set, probably cut glass as well as a wax episcopal seal.
The stopper is covered with an old knotted textile veil and is accompanied by a second red wax seal. The ampulla is fixed on a copper cup. A production of northern Italy or southern Germany in good condition.
Dimensions of 12 cm high - diameter of the cup of 8.5 cm
