Born in Paris in 1965, Patrice Landauer studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Appliqués (Ecole du Livre - Graphic Arts Section), the Ecole Met de Penninghen (formerly the Académie Julian), and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Painting Section, Albert Zavaro studio). In the great tradition of travelling painters, Patrice Landau has developed a highly personal body of work, at odds with all the usual trends in contemporary art. He always treats a variety of subjects with talent, including genre scenes, landscapes, Africanism and portraits. He exhibits in numerous galleries in France and abroad.
