This large red leather morocco is gilded with iron, on the edge, with a frieze of leaves, fillets and wolf teeth, it bears on the front the name of its owner: Monsieur Marchal, the silver clasp is chiseled under a crown of marquis of alliance coat of arms, each corner of the document holder is decorated with a golden flower and the back of the flap is embellished with a superb semi of flowers and a frieze of arabesques. The interior is lined with gusseted cardboards dressed in a green moiré satin, unfortunately the gussets have been cut over time. 18th century End of the Louis XVI period. Dimensions 49 cm x 38 cm.
