Probably a monk or a Buddhist disciple, kneeling on a stylized pedestal. Work from Southeast Asia (Thailand, Burma or Laos), dating from the end of the 19th century. Beautiful old patina, with visible traces of original polychromy (ochres, reds and blacks). Authentic wear related to time, natural cracks in the wood.
