Japan, Meiji Era, Rare Bronze Skeleton Forming A Table Bell

Japan, Meiji Era, Rare Bronze Skeleton Forming a Table Bell .
A rare and unusual item designed for export in the Meiji Era in Japan:
a table bell depicting a skeleton sitting cross-legged under a parasol whose shaft is decorated with a snake, a toad at its feet.
beautiful brown patina and pretty lacquer on the bell decorated with red lacquer and green bamboo leaves.
We never come across this complete bell with all the elements.
This is the first time I have had the set.

A very beautiful Japanese bronze collector's item.
