"Beautiful Napoleon Snuffbox, Inlaid Fruitwood, Bicorn, First Half Of 19th Century"
Beautiful large snuffbox from natural and partially blackened fruitwood, 10cm, in shape of Napoleon's bicorn, with its cipher and cockade inlaid from brass and studded. Hollowed, it opens with lid, long brass hinge, this one is decorated of a pansy, flower of remembrance.
We can imagine that it dates from "return of Ashes", 1840, a considerable media event.
Condition: Good condition, some scars of use, no losses on brass threads.
