Limited edition of 100 copies on Japanese paper, copy 38.Philippe Soupault had just bought a bookstore for his wife (Librairie Six). It was located at the corner of Avenue de Lowendal and Avenue Duquesne, not far from Les Invalides. He suggested to Man Ray that he use this small space as a gallery for the famous Man Ray Dada exhibition, which took place from December 3 to 31, 1921. In 1922, in addition to La Chanson du moteur, Librairie Six published Les Malheurs des immortels, poems by Paul Eluard accompanied by collages by Max Ernst, and his collection Westwego.
