A refined female terracotta bust from the first half of the 20th century. The artwork depicts a woman in a silent, contemplative pose, presumably Beatrice Portinari, Dante's muse and icon of beauty and celestial wisdom. The young woman is dressed in a style reminiscent of 13th-century fashion, supported by a triangular ornament decorated with a Florentine lily on top of her head. The sculpture can be placed within early 20th-century Italian production, while the style and taste of some decorative details recall the Symbolist and Neo-Renaissance sensibilities of the period. The statue has a beautiful patina, with some signs of aging. Overall, it is in good condition.
