In 1921, Denert joined forces with René-Louis Balichon, a former student of the Beaux-Arts de Bourges. Their company then took the name Denbac, a contraction of their names: DENert + BAClichon. Specializing in flamed stoneware and effect glazes, the factory was part of the Art Nouveau and then Art Deco movements. It became known for its elegant forms, rich glazes, stylized floral decorations, and its palette of blues, greens, and browns blended into drip effects. Production expanded to include stoneware vases, lamps, sculptures, and decorative objects, often marked "Denbac" and "France." After Denert's death in 1937, production slowed considerably, and the company closed its doors for good in 1952.
