Work signed lower right and annotated "study of a head" "Ph De la Hire" This can be attributed to Philippe De La Hire, who is a mathematician of the 17th century who also studied painting, notably in his youth in Rome. His father is better known as a painter, he is Laurent de La Hire (1606-1656) Good general condition, the panel is mounted on a 20th century canvas and framed in style. Some wear to report and quite a lot of repainting in the backgrounds. Dimensions without frame: 52.5 / 39.5 cm
