"Red Marble Fireplace, Louis XVI Style, Late 19th Century"
Louis XVI style fireplace in red Belgian marble, second half of the 19th century. The lintel is recessed on each side with a rosette in the middle. The quarter-round jambs have rudentée fluting and rosettes at the top. Top with its under-shelf. Very beautiful marble, usual restorations on the baguettes framing the hearth. Cleaning and polishing by a marble mason. Origin: a residence in Sarthe. H 108 x W 145 cm x D 39 cm Hearth H 83 x W 108 x D 29 cm
