"Pair Of Lamps With Blown Glass Vases – Gordiola Glassworks, Early 20th Century"
A rare pair of lamps made from large, hand-blown glass vases, produced by the prestigious Gordiola glassworks in Mallorca in the early 20th century. The Gordiola glassworks dates back to 1719, when Blas Rigal, a master glassmaker from the Crown of Aragon, obtained permission to build a glass furnace in Palma de Mallorca, thanks to the financial support of the Catalan-Aragonese Gordiola family. Since then, the workshop has perpetuated the art of traditional blown glass. The vases feature elegant curved shapes and the typical irregularities of mouth-blown glass. Each lamp is in perfect condition, carefully assembled, and ready for use or decoration. Dimensions: total height 83 cm – diameter 38 cm. Spectacular and authentic decorative pieces, ideal for an interior with a unique character.
