BIOGRAPHY:
Maurice Marinot, born in 1882 in Troyes, where he died in 1960, is a French painter and glass craftsman.
He returned to the École des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1901 in the studio of Fernand Cormon, from where he was excluded (judged too original).
Influenced by the Nabis, he became closer to the Fauves and exhibited with them at the Salon des Indépendants and d'Automne, from 1905 until 1913.
From 1911, he was also interested in the art of glassmaking.
