Gilded animal bronze Eagle and vulture fighting over prey Signed on the base FRATIN Fratin, a romantic sculptor, often illustrated struggle and predation in his expressive works. He exhibited several pieces on this theme at the Salon of 1835, such as Vulture Devouring a Gazelle or Tiger Overcoming a Young Camel. In 1839, he presented his group Eagle and Vulture Fighting Over Prey, which can be seen today in the grounds of Babelsberg Castle.
