Large Pharmacy Jars, Murano Glass, Early 20th Century

Very large pair of glass pharmacy jars probably from Murano around 1920-1930.
These large jars are enameled, gilded and decorated with painted motifs of angels playing the flute and women surrounding cartouches with the names of Crocus and Sublimato.
Other enameled floral decorations appear on the back of these jars as well as on the lids.
Some wear appears on the enameled decorations and one of the two lids has been restored.
This imposing pair of pharmacy jars was probably intended to decorate a pharmacy at the beginning of the century.
The gilding on the two jars is very beautiful and has changing reflections in the light.
The set is truly magnificent, large and very decorative, beautiful and quite imposing objects!
