We present this beautiful framed oil on canvas painting, rustic village scene in the Vellave countryside because Gabriel MOISELET was born on November 5, 1885 in Puy en Velay and died on February 10, 1961 in Paris at the age of 76. He began his apprenticeship at the municipal school of Fine Arts in the town of Puy en Velay, then between 1900 and 1904 he joined the studios of Jean Paul LAURENS in Paris as well as those of Luc Olivier MERSON and Raphaël COLIN at the school of Fine Arts in Paris where he won several prizes. He was also a drawing teacher until his retirement. I like the paintings of this Ponot artist from Puy en Velay.(E25)
