in welded and patinated steel.
This chandelier is modularly constructed from 4 parts with a central attachment point, allowing for the order and height of the arms to be played with. Created by Bonduel for a modernist chapel in Belgium, a unique piece.
From 1961 to 1966, Roger Bonduel taught visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges. Bonduel became known for his sculptures, furniture, and bas-reliefs. He used nickel, copper, steel, silver, brass, and bronze. He played an important role in the revival of religious art. Known for his mastery of metal, Bonduel, who collaborated with modernist architect Paul Felix and glassmaker Michel Martens, infused energy and movement into each of his creations.
