This Lega knife, originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a ritual object used by the Bwami initiation society. It has a bone handle decorated with engraved geometric patterns, and a wrought iron blade. The leather sheath is also decorated. More than a weapon, it symbolizes status, wisdom, and belonging to a high initiatory level among the Lega. 26 cm; 16 cm (blade)
