"Paul Milet (1870-1950) Sèvres Bonbonnière Box Porcelain With Cherries Art Nouveau Deco Millet"
A lovely shaped piece, a porcelain candy dish from the Art Nouveau / Art Deco transition period, richly mounted in finely chiseled gilt brass. It is decorated with cherries with their leaves and has a particularly elegant movable handle. Here Paul Milet uses a rich palette of speckled cobalt blue enamels in turquoise gradation, under a glossy glaze. Ivory-colored interior. His workshop was located in Sèvres near the Manufacture nationale where he trained. Black handwritten mark underglaze underneath. A very fine quality of execution. Elegant and unusual piece! It could conveniently be used as a sugar bowl or for any other purpose according to your needs. Dimensions: Height: approximately 14 cm (excluding handle) Belly diameter: approximately 11.5 cm Very good condition, otherwise perfect. Please note that I respond to any request about my objects.
