"Small Roman Marble Head"
Fragment of a sculpted head in veined beige alabaster, probably representing a young man or a deified figure in the classical style of the Roman Empire. The features remain legible: deep, oval gaze, straight nose, full lips, and rounded chin. The wavy hair, framing the forehead and temples, is treated with a soft modeling, evoking the Hellenistic influence still present in imperial statuary. The head now rests on a contemporary black plinth.
