Solid Walnut Wood Chest
SOLID WALNUT WOOD CHEST
The front is decorated on both sides with stylized acanthus leaves and fluting.
The top is molded with a corbin beak all around.
Nine diamond-shaped forged nails decorate the top.
A wide molded plinth cornice surrounds the lower part.
Beautiful iron handles on the sides.
Four ball feet were added later to raise it.
Very good general condition.
Period: late 17th or early 18th century
