"Gallé Vase With Lake And Forest Landscape - Height 16 Cm"
This lovely vase is a creation of Établissements Gallé, dating from Émile Gallé's post-mortem period (between 1904 and 1936), and is part of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. It reflects the continuity of the Nancy-based manufacturer's expertise. The vase has an ovoid shape, with a rounded body that tapers slightly toward a short, flared neck. The base is understated. Made of multi-layered glass, the vase displays a contrasting color palette. The upper background is a light yellow to amber, reminiscent of daylight or a sky. The middle and lower part is worked in shades of brown and darker shades, including a chocolate brown and a deep blue-black for the base. The decoration is achieved using the acid-etching technique, creating a landscape. Dark trees of varying silhouettes (some pine or fir trees) border what appears to be a body of water or an expanse of land with reflections suggesting a watery surface. The motif is distributed around the entire circumference of the vase, offering a panoramic view of the landscape. The vase bears the signature "Gallé" in relief in the decoration, typical of pieces produced by the workshops after 1904. This piece illustrates the approach of the Gallé Establishments in the representation of nature through glass, combining colors and textures to create a painting. It represents an interest for Art Nouveau lovers and glass collectors. Note: Presence of two bubbles (air bubble in the glass) visible in the photos Height: 16 cm Very good condition
