Rare and beautiful Roman History in a large volume In4 in cold-stamped vellum, smooth spine, handwritten title in ink, raised nerves and decorated covers with framing and fleuron. Annotated from the Library of Baron Bavink (handwritten ex-libris), plus on the endpaper a glossary of chapters of interest. Beautiful frontispiece title engraved by JC Philips in 1744. Two-color title and beautiful folding plates: "General History" Description of a History of Golden Men, in England, from the English translation, including; X. Dell, I. and II. stuk: behelzende de Historie der Romeinen, van het begins af, eerstonder de koningen, en vervolgens onder het gemeenebest, tot aan de verdeging van Karthago: mitsgaders eene voorafgaende beschrijving van het aloude Italy, en van de aloude Koningen van Hetrurie, Lazio, en alba: Met Kaarten and Plaaten.
