Charming earthenware teapot in the shape of a lying hen, made of polychrome glazed terracotta. The removable lid in the shape of a chick. This pretty jug combines function and fantasy: the colorful enamel, very expressive, enhances this charming object. This type of ceramic, often artisanal, is part of a decorative tradition of potteries from the south of France or central Italy.
This model could evoke the productions of Bassano, Vallauris or Castelnaudary, dating from the 1930s to the 1960s.
