Very beautiful Louis XVI style pedestal table in speckled mahogany, surrounded by a gilded bronze gallery and adorned with blue Turquin marble. It opens with a deep drawer in the belt. The legs decorated with chiseled and gilded bronzes are joined by a spacer in blue Turquin marble, they are equipped with bronze casters. The oak frame bears under the top the stamp of G DURAND, cabinetmaker born in 1839 who trained with Beurdeley and Dasson. Gervais DURAND settled in Paris, rue de la Cerisaie then rue Beautreillis and in the Hôtel de Sully. He designed and executed his furniture. In 1889 he participated in the Universal Exhibition and received a silver medal. Dimensions: H: 75.5 cm D: 82 cm
